MIAMI, Nov. 30, 2015— Gaumard Scientific Company today announced it will showcase Trauma HAL® and Pedi HAL® at I/ITSEC 2015, set for Nov. 30 – Dec. 4 in Orlando, Fla. The HAL products were engineered to address the educational needs of medical personnel as they train to treat injuries that occur in emergency situations, including:
- Traumatic injuries resulting from Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and explosives (CBRNe)
- Pulmonary and respiratory issues
- Cardiac and related circulatory system issues
Gaumard’s product display will be at booth number 761.
Trauma HAL is a rugged and resilient simulator with durability proven by independent testing in hot and cold conditions, wet and dry environments, and on board military aircraft. HAL’s fully tetherless technology allows the communications, compressor, and power supply components to be placed inside the simulator body, eliminating the need for external tubes, wires and compressors. This design innovation, which was pioneered by Gaumard, enables the most realistic, flexible training scenarios for simulator users.
John Eggert, Gaumard’s executive vice president, said: “Gaumard’s first tetherless product the HAL 3000, introduced in 2004, was designed for the battlefield. HAL was awarded his Airworthiness Certification by the U.S. Army in 2007. We’ve continued that tradition with the launch of our Trauma HAL; a simulator designed to fulfill demanding military requirements. We designed Trauma HAL to be the premier tool to train medics and health care professionals to save lives on the battlefield. Furthermore, as the emergency medical situations encountered by the military can be highly varied, our entire family of simulators across age-groups and medical discipline are uniquely situated to address the potential care situations that do arise.”
