Gaumard’s Realistic Simulators Come to Life at INACSL 2016

MIAMIJune 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — A woman gives birth and is treated for life-threatening post-partum hemorrhage. Her newborn’s APGAR score is abnormal and the baby requires resuscitation utilizing the new Newborn Resuscitation Protocol guidelines. These are just two of the dramatic scenarios that come to life when attendees at INACSL’s 2016 annual meeting visit Gaumard’s booth #413 at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Grapevine, TexasJune 15-18.

There has never been a better opportunity to experience the latest advances in simulation technology. Attendees will be able to practice their skills with Victoria®, the most realistic, fully tetherless and wireless maternal/fetal simulator for use in actual point of care training. Victoria personifies Care in Motion. She is ready for simulation anywhere training is required, and can be transported from the emergency department to the birthing suite to post-partum care without interrupting the flow of simulation and learning.

Victoria can be programmed for scenarios including a normal vaginal birth, C-section, breech, and post post-partum hemorrhage. An optional abdomen converts the simulator into a non-pregnant patient for general nursing and GYN exercises.

In addition, attendees will be able to see how Tory™, the most sophisticated neonatal simulator available, integrates seamlessly with Victoria via a wireless link, allowing healthcare providers first to tend to labor and delivery and then to stabilize or treat the newborn.

“Our family of adult, pediatric and newborn simulators will be on display at INACSL,” John Eggert, Gaumard’s executive vice president, said. “The breadth of our product portfolio ensures that a simulator is available to meet all of your training needs, regardless of your budget.”

The International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, or INACSL, is the global leader in transforming practice to improve patient safety through excellence in healthcare simulation.
