HAL Trains Las Vegas Doctors to Treat Injured During Active Shooter Situations

Las Vegas doctors learn how to treat the injured while responding to an active shooter by practicing on a robot so realistic that it talks, has seizures and blinks its eyes. This robot operates continuously as it is moved from the shooting scene to the ambulance and the emergency room.

The robot, named HAL, helps doctors learn how to diagnose and treat victims using real monitoring and resuscitation equipment in active shooting situations that change minute by minute.
